Fingers crossed!
Just found this photo online. It's supposed to be a cockerel--don't know the age, but it looks a little younger than yours. There are no clear hackles, though, and its comb is smallish. But its tail is more developed than yours. In other words, it's not much help. Haha! It's ok if it is a cockerel.... Im Just getting impatient lol

I think it's a pullet. The SS pullet I have has slightly pointed saddle feathers, like yours. Also this is my cockerel who is 14 weeks old for comparison. I would think if it was a cockerel, it would have gotten saddle feathers & tried to crow, but I'm not sure.

No,saddle fetahers are much more shinier, and gleamier and are pointy at the ends.
Wow! He is gorgeous!
I have a Welsummer cockerel that is the same age as this SS and he looks like a full grown rooster already!

I have a little gold-laced Sebright that pulled the same stunt for a while. He even had the "experts" stumped for awhile there. In fact, before he finally developed a full-blown crow, we were calling him RuPaul, because no one could tell what gender he was simply by looks. He is now, officially, Junior, because he is the spitting image of his big brother.Exactly! It doesnt have the cockerel hackles and saddles... I have dug through searching, lol... but I just have no freakin clue lol
