Silly bird. SHE is a HE, I guess. Fooled me. I thought for sure he was a she.

, I had a beautiful curly tailed black hen, granted the Yellow feet under the black "skirt" was priceless!!! Called her Broody, she looked like an old brood hen even as a chick...til the day SHE crowed. My bubble popped and I sulked for a few days when Bob (DH) actually took my hand and said, "Oh hunny, you were so cute in denial" :mad: . (

It is the tiny pea combs on these EE birds that throw me off. They all look like girls to me!!

Well that's a bummer-unless you wanted a roo. I did have a hen that crowed every morning for months, and dh was just anbout to rehome her but she stopped. She must have heard us talking about her being someone's chicken dinner
