My Pullets Attacked My Cockerel!

All the girls ganged up on him and were attacking my cockerels waddles.
Thankfully no bleeding.
I seperated him so he has his own brooder now.
He is 2 weeks old and the girls are 2 weeks and some are 1 week old.

Yes. They were in a large 110 gallon stock tank.
There are 10 of them in there.
The girls saw that the cockerel was sprouting red waddles and started to attack them

They were all perfectly fine yesterday and before.

It's just the pecking order ..... The females may be larger in size now. Because their hatch date.

Try putting some white golf balls in the brooder with a few red dots on them. Put some red dots on the walls of the brooder. Give the pullets something else to peck at other than his waddles.
Dig a good sized clump of sod, roots and all, out of your yard and put a chunk or two in the brooder for them to scratch and peck at.
Put him back in after you've done these things and see if they ignore him.

For now I put my cockerel in a separate brooder until his waddles heal up.
