My Pvc Chicken Coop Project

The enclosed run i built was above a chain link fence with a portion of the fence buried. The electrical conduit (UV resistant) is attached to the top rail by splitting a tee fitting, heating it to form on the top rail and clamping it until it was cool. The cover is just chicken wire because i do not have a predator problem. Cross bracing was attached with tees drilled out so they could slide on the hoops and secured with a screw. I put the door on the hoop side, not the end. A big mistake for constructability.

It has been thru several Idaho winters with no repairs.

Here it is July 2019. I’m really curious how your PVC coop has been holding up. I would also like to know if you have made any changes or additions. Thank you for the inspiration.

Do you have a supply list or dimensions of the Chicken tractor/coop you built here? The link is not working.

What did you use to secure the mesh and netting to the PVC? I used this design for my girls and the frame is ready but I wanted to see what you used to secure the hardware cloth and net to the frame. I was thinking zip ties but wondered if it was secure enough to keep critters out. I also have a Hotwire for the outside but still
