x2 they are so cute looking!!wow I have always wanted to raise ducks, those are some great looking ones. Hope to learn more from this forum.
The darkest of the eye strip ducklings (what my husband calls themI'm amused to stumble on this thread since we hatched 3 "Australian Spotted" eggs a month ago, only to discover that there was a bit of hanky panky going on, and daddy wasn't who the seller thought he was. You've got ducks that look like each of ours, and their names are pretty similar, too! Ours are "X" (blue with white wingtips and growing at the same rate as the Welsh Harlequin hatchmates), "13" (pure black, but starting to get a bit of brown lacing as his feathers come in), and "Hey, What about Me" (typical Aussie chipmunk look.)
The one thing I can say is that the one who looks to be a full-blooded Australian Spotted has been on his own growth path from the beginning. Or, at least, since the one-week mark when we decided to start tracking. They looked about the same size on hatch day.
I'm curious to see what yours turn out to be!

#8 looks pretty similar to the magpie I raised last year. They're all adorable btw.
