I couldn't view it for some reason, but I totally just ordered some Celedon eggs. It really is an addiction!
I’ve been working on making snowie celadons. I have a group of 5 weeks olds that 50% of the hens will lay blue, so I’m waiting to sex them and see what they lay, then I have some 1 and 2 week olds, same thing. Now I have 32 new, non celadon, just hatched, K Dale chicks, giving me about 60 chicks in the house, and 16 in the grow out. I started with only celadons, and now I’m kind of addicted to making celadon versions of other colors and patterns.

That's exactly how I got started as well. I ordered some "German pastels" and they were almost all Celedon layers. Unfortunately early this spring some stray dogs chewed thier way through my wooden fence and then through the quail pens, they managed to get the door off my raised hutch and they killed every bird I had in the back yard. At least I had 5 in the front that I was waiting to see what sex they were ( they were a late fall hatch), unfortunately they were all crossed with XL natural colored and only carry recessively. Hopefully with some new stock I can get back on track. I'm focusing on temperament as top priority, but egg color and size are next in line. My daughter REALLY wants a tame pet Coturnix, we'll see. So far I have calm birds, but no one wants snuggles past the first week, lol!

I’m in love with the solid blacks, and I luckily got one, once he/she grows up (hoping boy) I’m gonna spread their dna all over my range patterns, and hopefully cross back to make more, then I’ll start trying to make some all black celadons. I’m super excited again, my snowies that I ordered were a disappointment, and took some wind from my sails, but they’re working out nicely now, I have a lot of snowie celadon carriers, and a full celadon pearl,I have 3 hatches growing out that will have some snowie full celadon layers, and I just need to breed them to one of my full celadon males, and I’ll be set.

We don’t have any celadon I think. They produce blue eggs, right?
