Oh, Shelly, I am happy and sad for you. One of my ee's turned up missing at head count the other night. I looked everywhere and there was no sign of feathers or anything. I looked everywhere that I thought she could get caught in but found nothing, but there is so much out here I could never find her if she got caught under the old house that we use as a "barn". I doubt she is setting as this is the wrong time of year for that. I had assumed a hawk had gotten her but now after reading about predators haven't got a clue. We have six dogs on the place and they do not touch the chickens and five are in the house most of the time and one is in a pen unless supervised so I am positive it wasn't any kind of dog or the other dogs would have let me know if an another animal was on the place...that is why I think she got caught somewhere.
