My Rabbit Had 7 Babies Today

I leave mommy in for 6 weeks and then keep the babies together for another 2 weeks (unless I have a single then mom stays for 8 weeks).

Two of my baby rabbits were dead on wednesday morning and the only thing i can think that killed them was the temputure it got down to like 33 so i dont know just sad

How old were they? Around 2 weeks when they start eating solids, there can be some deaths. Sorry for your loss.

they were 18 days old on wed the other 5 are doing well though

Do they still have the nestbox with fur?

When I handle a very young rabbit I rub mommys poo on my hands before touching it...sound yucky but it works.

If I have 2 does give birth at around the same time and say one has 6 and the other has 13 (yes its happened) I take mommy of sixes poo and rub it on a few of the 13 and stick them in with their new foster mom. They don't even notice the difference and take them in.

yes they still have there nest box but the two that died died outside of it they hop in and out of it as they wish

They don't go to the nest box but once or twice a day, and usually don't feed until nighttime. So it's rare you'll see her with them.
