MY RIR FINALLY LAID HER FIRST EGG!!!

I thought she laid months before and had posted about it on here but I was wrong...it was just a larger Cochin egg...but today we finally got her egg, months after she had squatted and months after she had seemed ready...now at 25 or 26 weeks we came home to a large brown egg...it was a double yolker too!!!

This is it next to a cochin egg on the right...

Very nice, both in the shell and out! I have an Isa brown laying right now, her eggs are very dark, I can't wait for our RIR's to start; they are 20 weeks so looks like we could have a few more to go. Congrats!!!
