Maren- I think this is INCREDIBLY creative! You did a wonderful job with it!! It will be such a fun decoration in your parents house as well! I want to give you a suggestion for it though. I have made many pinewood derby cars with my children over the years. One thing that we ALWAYS do is "enhance" the paint job. They way we do it is to by using this:

Just spray it on your finished project (not the tail though) and you will be amazed how it looks. It will make your colors brighter and give everything a beautiful shine. Truly though, your rooster is so beautiful. If you were my kid, I'd be super proud!

My username is ChickenPeep beause I used to have a wonderful rooster named Peep, and he was a chicken! Peep is the rooster I based this off of.
