My rooster ate a few raw beans half hour ago! Will it kill him?? I'm panicking!

That's a new one to me. I grow a lot of collards in my yard and my chickens have been eating them for a couple of years now. No ill effects, at least that I have seen. @Kathy Golla what is your source for that?
Hi Morrigan!
Let me get my links for you. I was feeding collards and found I was having egg problems. Although collards aren’t considered extra high in oxalates, they are considered high in some references, so I stopped. I suppose if you are seeing no egg problems, that’s the answer!

No, don't worry, I don't overdose on the figs. As for tomatoes, they haven't had any for a long time now, I don't think they were interested. I might try again before tomato season goes out.

These are the best references I’ve found:

I also heard about the oxalate problem for poultry from my vet.

High oxalate foods:
Raspberries
Canned pineapple
Spinach/Chard
Beets, Rhubarb
Walnuts
Raw Carrots
Brussels Sprouts
Collards

ETA: @Morrigan , the third reference is the rating of high for collards. Seriously though if you aren’t seeing any problems related to calcium absorption I wouldn’t worry about it.

Ahh, hens, keeping me on my toes!

Thanks! Collards are the only thing on the list they typically eat, and my egg shells are looking pretty solid. I wonder if crab grass is high in oxalates. They much prefer that to collards when then can find it.

OK, so my rooster is still alive & seems to be doing ok. He just went to bed. So first, I didn't even introduce myself as I was in a hurry to get an answer to the bean ordeal. Thank you all for your quick responses. But I have to say, I'm so confused. So many different opinions from various sources. If you type in "foods not to feed chickens", the number 1 is raw beans of any kind, says in several sites that it will kill them within an hour. Some say raw or cooked will kill them, others say cooked ok. To clarify, he is on chicken food designed for chickens as his main diet. I always supplement with fruits & veggies that are listed online as good for them. But for example, a woman who has lots of chickens here in Ohio says they eat all her tomatoes in her garden. Online said only give them a small amount of tomato because something in it was bad for them. Then one of you above said tomatoes ok. I've never read that spinach or brussels were bad. I only bought the small 2lb bag of parrot food as a special treat. Yes, I thought the same thing about if it was ok for a parrot, it should be ok for a chicken, as someone above said, but then when I saw that it had navy beans in it, I was reminded of the urgent warnings online on many different sources saying it'll kill them. When the Avian & poultry vet asked what I fed, I told her chicken feed, cracked corn, Flock Party Oats & mealworms, scratch grains, fresh fruits & veggies, cooked eggs, cheese & a little pasta, she said it was all fine, that they eat lots of things, that he looks very healthy, has no mites, worms or parasites, skin & feathers look beautiful, is very sweet, & said I must be doing something right. I just really needed to know if anyone else's chickens had eaten raw beans & lived. If you take a minute & type in "what NOT to feed a chicken", you'll see why I was so alarmed. Again, thanks for the responses, I'll take them all under advisement.
