Hi, so my rooster occasionally will peck at his girls and it's nothing serious and leaves no wounds. My hens wear saddle jackets to protect from my rooster. This morning the jacket got caught up in their perch and my rooster has gone and pecked at her and done some damage I brought her inside cleaned her wounds and kept her warm. She's now in my house with food water and a towel for her to sleep on I won't out her back into the flock till tomorrow depending on how she does. She was in shock but now she is more alert and doing good. We rang our vets and they said we did everything right and if we think she is getting worse to bring her in. Most of the blood on her was dry and since then there has been no re bleeding on any of her wounds. She hasn't moved since being in my room, but she was moving outside for a bit while setting up my room, is it because it's a new environment? I do have photos of her face, they are pretty grim but it's all dry blood none of it is still bleeding. I was just coming on here to see if any more action needs to be done for her or my rooster thank you so much. If you would like to see the photos. You can ask and I'll post them up.
Cheers.
Cheers.
