My rooster beats me and today he framed me. :(

I had a big ole barred rock that tried the same stuff. Shooting him with the water hose certainly put a damper on his aggression toward me. Unfortunately, then he decided that he should take on everyone else - my teenage son and his friends, visitors, the UPS guy. It got so the UPS guy would honk the horn rather than get out if he suspected the rooster was out. Finally had to re-home him so I could get my deliveries!

And now... a DEMON!

Why does he sometimes snap like that at me? He knows I'm the one who brings the food. I even dig up worms from time to time for the chickens to gobbel up. Everytime I go near the coop they all get excited so why is it he sometimes snaps like that? And how come it's never against my husband?

Today when feeding the chickens I was there (rake close at hand just in case) trying to be all big and in charge. I was saying stuff like: "Hey you, I'm not afraid of you. You should be afraid of me! You know why? Because I've got opposable thumbs and what do you have huh? Little ugly scaley skinny legs and a tiny brain! Yeah that's right punk! You're just a lame little inbred rooster!" Then suddenly.... EEEEKKKK! I grabbed the rake and jumped out of my skin... My mean husband had snuck up on me and scared me half to death!

He laughed so hard at me and there I am rake in hand and my rooster is just standing there like "Hey buddy I don't know what her problem is I'm just trying to have some breakfast here. Just gimmie the rest of that corn."

So this is war. This rooster has beaten me, humiliated me, he's making me nuts. Yeah.... that's right... I'm taking it personal!

Your story is fantastic!! It makes me want to get a rooster so I too can try to trash talk a roo into submission. Thanks so much for sharing, but I'm sorry to say I have no experience in this matter.
