Today I went outside to let my chickens out of the vain, while I was walking toward it, I herd a breathing that sounded like an old woman screaming Help! Help! I picked up my walking, and opened the vain door, and it was my rooster! He is 2 or 3 years of age now, he has always had a lounge problem, he had a problem breathing last year but it was only through his nous, and he didn't make such painful sounds, I think he might have a hole in one of the tobes that leads to the lounge, he doesn't eat, but drinks, he doesn't have much control over his legs anymore,

Is there anyway I can help him? Its torcher to watch him scream and cry while losing his life, put I'm to soft to down straight put him out of his misery,

Are there any medicines I can give him? Also, please don't reply asking for pictures, because, I don't think pictures will help... He looks the same as he always does, he just sounds like an dieing old lady!

Do you think he will live for another two days? I have to go to work, and I'm staying there till 10:00, and tomorrow I'm going to the VA,

If he is suffering that much then waiting 2 days really isn't a good idea. Something (whatever you decide) should be done ASAP.
Sorry. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you both.

Yes, I checked it two times just to make sure, I know! I don't want to wait two days to bring him to the vet but I have too! If I could I would miss work and bring him there!!

Last night, we put fish oil down his throat, at first he was licking his beak, but then we heard his normal voice again!

I looked down his throat and he actually has mucus! The air couldn't get threw the mucus's coat, so thats why he couldn't breath and sounded so weird!!! Does anyone have any idea on a medicine I can give him to get rid of the mucus! I am SO happy his isn't going to die!
