My Rooster Crowed!

My 12 week old Partridge Rock showed undeniable truth today when he made his first real attempts at crowing. He sounded like a demented donkey! Sooooooo cute! I'm so proud of him!

The first crows are hilarious, especially bantys. Last night one of my little guys was saying "we're hun-greee.....we're hun-gree..."

So, this practice crowing wasn't at all loud. Will it get louder? I hope not.

I have no other rooster and there aren't any in the neighborhood so maybe he'll keep it toned down because there's no competition.

I heard one of my 17 week old Ameraucana rooster attempt to crow this morning. I thought someone had stepped on a baby- it was a wretched noise! Unfortunately we have 4 roosters from the same hatch, so I expect the noise level to rapidly get out of control!

How exciting!!

I heard our 13 week old roo Carlisle crow yesterday and I was so excited I called my husband at work to tell him the roo is crowing.
