Hi! My rooster is sick for over 2 days now. I noticed it first when he did not crow for a day and looks weak. He was still eating yesterday but now, he cant stand straight and eat plus his comb is becoming dark.

Is there any way to treat him? He only drinks the water with mixed
Sulfamethoxazole.

Welcome To BYC

Where are you located in the world?
What do you feed?
How old is your rooster?

A photo of the rooster would be good too.

I'd work on hydration, then see if he will eat for you. Is his crop emptying? Have you looked inside his beak for lesions or canker?

If vet care is possible, that would be best.

Thanks you for welcoming me.
I live in the Philippines, I feed them feeds (bio 3) in the morning before they roam freely and afternoon.

I dont know the exact age of the my rooster since im a newbie and they gave it to me.

Last night, i noticed him shaking or struggling to breath. Tried to gave him electrolytes thru syringe but still no improvements this morning. I also noticed that there is a liquid coming out on his mouth. I'd love to take him on a vet but we live in a rural area and there is not available nearby.

Here is the current condition of my rooster:

Hello and welcome to BYC! :welcome
How is he doing?
His poop is a sign that he is not eating.
See the white feather next to the poo? It looks like it may have mites on it. Check him over for mites or lice.
How full is his crop?
Thanks!

Still no improvements. I checked his feathers and i see no signs of mites. He did not eat since yesterday but i feel that there is a little bit of food left on his crop. I dont know what's happening to him or what disease he get but weather here is a little bit extreme in the past few weeks.

I would suggest trying to give him all different sorts of vitamins and also moving him away from the flock.
Pinch the skin on his neck and see how long it takes for the skin to go back to normal location. If it takes more than a second, your cock is dehydrated. Soak his feed in water or give him something like watermelon to eat.
About vitamin deficiency, just grab this pill called Centrum from the pharmacy, and get it in his stomach. If you see no improvement in the next few days, just butcher him and burn his body.
Does he sneeze or anything?
If it’s really hot, wet him a bit, if it’s really cold, wrap him in a towel.
You can also give him 30 mg aspirin and see if it helps a bit.
You may also want to get him antibiotics, but I’m not sure which or where you can get them…
Update us!

Oh, I'm sorry!
He's very sick.

Any chance he ate something rotten, dead or moldy?
It will be hard to get fluids into him with him like this. If he's got a lot of fluid coming from the beak, then his crop is not functioning well and he's unable to swallow.

How is he doing?
Hi, I'm sorry for updating this late but he died right after i responded to your message. I still dont know what happened but i noticed lately that my neighbor's chickens started to decrease rapidly. I didn't have the time to ask them.

Is there any idea what was the cause of this to prevent it from happening in the future?

Some information of them if this helps:
He was one of my first three chickens given at a young age. Now, i have 16 chickens, 2 are broody the rest are young (3mos to 6mos). Never vaccinated and they roam freely rain or shine. I give them mixed feeds in the morning and crushed corn in the afternoon. Occasionally mix their drink with vitamins and electrolytes.
