That's the best thing ever. You make me want to do it with our banty roo, but I HIGHLY doubt he'd go for it. He really hasn't moved?

Now we can start a support group! I thought I was alone. My roo has been brooding 9 chicks by himself (I have no hens). They are now 17 and 19 weeks old and he still feeds them bugs. All but 3 are cockerals too.

I had a roo once that would make a nest, settle down like a hen, make grunting noises, stand up, crow, look under himself, ( nothing there of course) and start all over again.

LOL...all too funny.

I have heard nothing but horror stories about Roosters and never wanted one. I got this guy by mistake, and he may have a slight attitude, but in the last few weeks he has settled into the place and he is a pure gentleman...making sure his girls get first dibs at treats, and now sitting on the eggs for them. Guess it's girls' night out!!! It's a hen party in the coop tonight!

*UPDATE*

Tonight...I go in to shut down the coops, and the Silky Rooster isn't in with his ladies (who are both sitting on eggs now) I find him in the other coop with the 11 red stars...them up on their perch and him sitting center stage on the floor watching the girly show
