My rooster is always sleepy after eating poisoned cockroaches!

I gave him some charcoal in a syringe (which was very difficult to do) and also added it to his water.
I just hope he will recover since he is always sleepy especially while standing, thankfully he eats and drinks normally

I hope he feels better soon

If you can bring him indoors and put him somewhere dark and quiet it will help him stay calm and hopefully time to recover :-( I’m so sorry for your boy! He does look rather ill

Unfortunately i cannot put him indoors but i don't think its nessessary because sometimes hes very energetic and then the next thing he's sleepy and tired. He is strong and i gave him alot of charcoal so hopefully he will be fine. I'll keep you guys updated mabye tomorrow or in a few days. I'll come back if theres any other emergencies, thank you!

It wouldn't take much poison spray in the air to make the roaches flee. If they were not covered in poison the chicken may not have had much of a dose. How do you know the illness is related to the roach incident?

Don’t put the charcoal in the water. You need him to drink the water and having charcoal in it may put him off from wanting to drink.

I too think that he must have consumed very little poison from those cockroaches and his symptoms may be from something else.

I'd like to renew my question of post #9. What is the pesticide used on your premises? This is critical information. Sometimes it tells us that there is little to worry about if the compounds are relatively non-toxic. Wouldn't you like to know that?
