My rooster is always sleepy after eating poisoned cockroaches!

Don’t put the charcoal in the water. You need him to drink the water and having charcoal in it may put him off from wanting to drink.

I too think that he must have consumed very little poison from those cockroaches and his symptoms may be from something else.
You may be right it could be something else, although he has improved today and seems to be less sleepy. About the charoal water i only give him it about twice a day while ive also separated his normal water which is what he is drinking mostly. Once he sees me handing him the charcoal he takes a few gulps then i put it somewhere else so he's not always drinking it. Hope that makes sense

It wouldn't take much poison spray in the air to make the roaches flee. If they were not covered in poison the chicken may not have had much of a dose. How do you know the illness is related to the roach incident?
Yeah that's true i'll continue to do more research on his symptoms

Yes it does :thumbsup

Update:
Unfortunately my rooster is still the same as he was before, he hasn't gotten worse which is good. Also i don't this it was the pesticide anymore, i did a bit of research and saw that he may have worms or parasites. I gave him worming medicine but it didn't seem to do much.

There is a difference in his behaviour though, before he used to sleep alot on the ground, but now he just walks around and stands with his eyes closed. This could be a good thing now that he's not always sleeping on the ground anymore? But yeah he doesn't seem to be in critical condition i just really don't know what to do anymore and he seems completely normal at times.

If this is the same rooster that was breathing with his mouth open (previous post) it could be caused by poor ventilation. It would help to know more about your coop thanks!
My chicken coop is well ventilated! and is mainly covered by thick metal bars so alot of ventilation would be present inside. I have my hens sit in there broody for a long while and they are completely fine once they come out. Also, the mouth breathing stopped a while ago so im glad thats not something to worry about.

I'll update again in about a week, hopefully there will be more improvements !
