My rooster has a hard time crowning. Hes a bb red bantam. He has had lung infection before, but is showing no sign of a hard time breathing or anything.

I would look around for any mold in his environment from wet conditions, moldy litter, or spilled water in the coop. Aspergillosis is a chronic infection that can cause a loss of voice, problems with breathing, and silent gasping. There are no respiratory sounds such as chest rattles or wheezes, as there are with other respiratory diseases.
