My Rooster is suppose to be a Silver laced Wyandotte but ...

My girls are looking like the picture but my Rooster doesn't seem to have the white feathers with black outline - he has black feathers with white edges. I was just wondering if he looks like anyone elses SLW rooster or if he is something else. When he was a little chick he was lighter than the others but they were females

I haven't named him in case he turned out mean was was destined for the freezer. He is a nice boy, I don't hold him or anything, he looks after his girls so far and was hatched 7/20/2009

He looks like most all hatchery SLW roosters do.

All my chicks came from MPC but my Golden Girls are beautiful and look like the pictures as do my Silver laced girls and by Barred rock's feathers are gorgeous too. I just thought maybe He was a cross of something else maybe.
