My rooster really hates me!

before you get rid of him i would try to tame him. first hold down on the ground for 20 seconds pushing on his back Do Not Push Too Hard if that doesn't work hold him upside by down by his feet for about 10 seconds and if that doesn't work hold him upside down and dunk him in a bucket of water i would do this on a sunny day or put him in front of a heat lamp. make sure all the hens see you do this roos don't like being humiliated. make sure every one who will be in the pen with him does whatever works

That has to be some of the worst advice I've seen on this forum in awhile.

If you will simpley grab his feet and hold him upside down for about a minute then carry him around like a baby he will eventually respect you

He should always move away from you when you walk toward him; make him respect your space! He shouldn't mount the hens right in front of you either. If you pick him up to carry, try upside down, then right side up, but he must be held until after he stops struggling. Carry him around for a few minutes, NEVER near your face!!! If his aggression persists after a very few attitude adjustment sessions, he's dinner! As he gets more mature the attacks will escalate, and nobody will be safe. Also very poor genetics to pass on. The game bird people have selected for very chicken aggressive birds who are people friendly or neutral, so it's pretty clear that these are separate behaviors in the cocks. My mellowest birds have been Salmon Favorelles; beautiful dual purpose gentle chickens. Mary

He's a good one to learn how to tube feed with, lol.

FYI, this happens very often when one raises roosters, drakes peafowl, etc. they never learn to fear and respect people like ones raised by their species.
