My Rooster was attacked by a predator

My rooster came in to roost the other evening and he was hobbling on one leg. He ended up laying on the ground and has not gotten up to move since then. I picked him up and his left leg just hung down. I felt all around his joints and hip but I can't tell if anything is broken. He will periodically stand for a few seconds but will just back down. We have a fox apparently because 3 hens went missing a couple days prior to his injury. What should I do for him and how long should I give him before I (sniff, sniff) put him down? He's such a nice boy and I really hate to give up on him, but I don't want him to suffer.
Thanks!

I don't have any advice for you. Sorry. I don't know what I would do, either. I just wanted to tell you that I know how it feels. I lost three girls to coyotes last year. My heart goes out to you and your good boy.

We'll be praying for both of you. And thanks for caring so much. All the best.

If he doesn't seem in pain of suffering he might just be slowly recovering
I'd not put him down until I was certain he was in pain or never going to recover
Just give him lots of tlc
Make sure he's eating drinking and sleeping
Maybe vitamins and some pain relief?
