My rooster while egg is being layed

Why does my rooster make the same noise that my hens make while laying? When he hears them it gets him going!

Many roosters are domestic in that they like to take part in the laying ritual, fluffing up the nest, "clicking" sounds of encouragement, and occasionally a rooster will even brood chicks, offering warmth under his breast as broody hens do.

Yep, he'll sound off to join the celebration......first time I heard the 'egg song' I about died.
I thought something was killing them all!
