My rooster won't eat or drink after a bad fight. Please help!

Is the garage still 70 degrees? If not, make sure he is nice and warm *before* you tube him and tube him with warm fluids. The sicker they get, the less fluid you can can give due to risk of vomiting and aspiration. He needs about 300cc in a 24 hour period, but if he's real sick, I'd do small amounts often. Try giving 20-50cc, wait 30 minutes and if his crop has cleared, give him more. Repeat.

The tube should slide down the right side of his neck into his crop.

No, the garage is at 55 degrees. I'm a college student and I still live on my parent's farm, so I have to abide by their rules. No more chickens in the house, and I can only heat the garage to 55 degrees. I'm going to try to take the heat lamp from the older chicks tomorrow morning.

I was able to give him 50 ml of the water/gatorade/food mixture. I'll go out first thing tomorrow morning to give him more.

I don't think they'll help any, but here are a few pictures.

Here's a picture from tonight. This is after a bath and antibiotics being applied the the comb and wattles for 4 days.

This was the best picture I could get of his beak. You can see the edges are black and if you were to look down his gum line, there are scabs and yellow areas. Do you think this is enough to prevent him from eating and drinking?

Here's a picture of his whole body. I have never seen him so droopy.. Usually he holds his tail and head high and proud. He's getting less and less rsponsive and he keeps his eyes closd most of the time.

How is he doing today?
He ate a bit of food by himself for the first time yesterday!

He's not out of the woods yet, but he's getting there.

You might keep him on a heating pad in the kennel,
if you cannot use the light.
I have done this.
Hope he gets better.

Actually, I have him back in the coop. I sold the problem rooster the day after the fight and everyone else gets along.

I'd rather him be in the garage where it's warm and I can monitor him, but he is so much happier being in the coop with everyone else. I figure that seeing them eat and drink would be good encouragement too.

Ohh, Good, That will help him to feel his old self again.
I am glad he made it.
Thank you,
mg

Alexander is getting better and better everyday. He's eating and drinking by himself and seems fine.

The only thing is that he is still sleeping a lot. He takes naps in the middle of the day, goes to bed early, and wakes up late. That's not normal for him.
