We're nine days old today and enjoying our first outing in the sun. Mommy found us some nice tall grass to play in and some friends (Cochin chicks), too! Hi Granny Nancy!

Hey Babies, You are looking soo soo soo swell.....I wish I were there I'd give you some wild onion grass for treats....Tell mama to find you some....

I love your sweet faces....You are so so so wonderful...

Momma, find some wild onion grass and chop it up finely....They so love it as a treat...

Keep sending those photos...... Good looking grandkids I have.

Hi cuties!!
Poults, more than other chicks, love greens... I used to pull grass then cut it up with a scissors in bits for them. But by the time they were a month or two old they could gobble up a small blade of grass on their own. And catch a bug so fast!
Thanks for sharing your babies!

Do you mean chives? Would that be good, like garlic cloves, to help control worms?

Actually I mean like wild onions that grow in our grass because we don't use chemicals...smile....

But in a pinch I've used our herb garden chives when I've pulled up too many onions.....

They really do like that as well as the finely chopped grass....

We have chives here so is there any benefit to it really or no?

Definitely chives are in the same "vegetable group" as onions so please do share those chives. They love them and they are wonderful for them....Even when adults...They go looking for the wild onions!
