Thanks guys...... awwww group hug
Well actually I used a cheap $200 incubator made in russia, says it has had great success from the pesants and farmers in Europe
But what I did was take the eggs out of the bator and let them sit room temp for roughly half an hour then sprayed them with water and put them back in, and I did this daily after day 7 and untill 3 days proir to hatching. It replicates the fluctuation in temp when mum gets off for a break, and since doing this I have had great hatch rates!
Oh great, I was hoping that was a barred!!!! As for the darker 1..... heavy barred sounds really nice! I have decided to keep 1 of them to use as a broody to hatch out my Call duck eggs, I really think the yellow is a boy and the 2 coloured are girls! At a day old how can you tell, I hear you say! Well the yellow 1 is much more solid and its feet are bigger now!!!! Could be wrong...... but hey lets see if I get it right
The fourth pic is of my Buff banded rail chicks (native australian bird) They have more personality than muscovy ducks........ Did I just say that out aloud
Here is a pic of an adult rail
