Suzette was used as broodyhen in May of this year and did a wonderful job as mama to 10 chix that were SUPPOSED to be all Black Australorp(live and learn!!!) but 3 ended up being crossbred. ONE kid is a Suzette/Blackfoot(blackaustralorp ROO) cross and he is now 5 1/2 months old and has started to jump on her and she allows it. He can't approach any of the other females(they wup his butt) and Suzettes not thrilled but........As long as he doesn't harm her he will be allowed to stick around. Only have 1 Roo currently, a Barred Rock almost 2 years old, that so far is a gentle roo.1st pic is Blackbeard(Suzette cockerel),2nd is Mr. Burb(current roo) 3rd Suzette and her brood at appx.8 wks. old.
