My sick chicken

Have you tried moving that spot on the beak at all? Maybe get a warm wash cloth on it for a bit to see if it loosens at all.

I hope everything works out for you.

yes I have gotten it wet with warm cloth daily it seems to be part of her/him. it doesn't move ty for responses

Here is a bit to read about canker that I forgot to include earlier, along with some pictures of possible canker in the nostrils:

Oral Canker

Oral Canker is a condition which can be found in a wide variety of birds and most commonly in pigeons.
Causes

It is caused by a motile protozoal parasite called Trichomonas gallinae.
This parasite can cause caseous lesions of the mouth, pharynx, oesophagus and in certain circumstances, further down the digestive tract. These lesions can become extremely extensive.
This causes the birds to stop eating and drinking, in severe cases the extensive nature of the lesions combined with not eating and drinking leads the chickens to die.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis is often based upon clinical signs but wet smears can be examined under the microscope to confirm clinical suspicions. Speak to your vet.
Treatment

The treatment traditionally involved the use of a drug called Dimetridazole, however, this drug is no longer available or licensed for use in the UK.
The affected chicken in these photos was treated with Metronidazole, this is a UK licensed medication but is not used in poultry therefore it had to be prescribed under the rules of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate cascade. This also means that any eggs the chicken may lay during treatment and for a specified period after treatment would need to be discarded. Her eggs must never be sold for human consumption. The owner of the hen was extremely pleased with the outcome and has supplied us with plenty of photos to monitor the hen’s progress.

Update: I got the tylon 50. I also vigorously rubbed with real wet washrag and finally got the scab off the good eye! Yay it can see out of one eye. I don't see any canker sores anywhere on roof of mouth or on either side. Thank you for your input though.
I gave it the tylon orally. 1/2 ml with short tube on end of syringe. I notice the smell is VERY strong in her cage from the medicine. Smells like strong sulfer. Maybe I shouldn't give it as much tomorrow? Is that smell normal? thanks

I don't think Tylan has a sulfur odor, but I may be wrong. Tylan has a pretty safe range of dosage. You could give 1/4 ml twice a day orally. You had said that she had a yellow coating on the side of her tongue, and I thought that and the clogged nasal openings might be canker. It good that you got the eye opened. Tomorrow, you might try a toothpick on the nasal openings just to see if anything comes off. Keep us posted.

Ok thank you will do. I'll give it less tomorrow.

Update: Chick is doing much worse today

It is foaming at the mouth, Bubbles are forming when it exhales. I cleaned out its mouth again as it has yellow spots again. It cant seem to eat now. OMG I guess the tylon made it sicker. If it lives through the day
I will definatley give it a shot instead of orally. Is it possible that the stuff in resparitory system is breaking up? I read up and every chicken I read about after this foaming happened died. Man it has fought for almost 3 weeks Very sad here..anyone else had the foamy thing happen? Thanks

I have never hear of Tylan causing that reaction, but if you feel that it has, I would just stop it. She is too small to give it as a shot into the breast, but some will give 1/4 ml just under the skin in the back of the neck. I'm sure you are very upset about her worsening condition since you have worked with her so hard for 3 weeks now, but she looks awfully sick from her pictures. I'm not sure that a vet could save her at this point, but it would be good to know what she has for sure.

No bird vet here and I'm on outskirts of major farmland, go figure. The one I took my goose to(the only one) was a flake. Plus I cant afford a vet. I would have definatley done that right away.
On a better note I just found Baytril

in my fridge from when my goose was sick! I just gave it 1/2 cc by mouth. I'm stopping the tylan for a couple days see what happens here. I will keep updated
