My Silkie Is Not Growing!?!?

I have a 6 month old Splash Silkie Hen she is the sweetest, but she can fit in my hand She walks fine and is normal but she is tiny. Comb has not come in yet not laying eggs. I am at a loss with that poof. (The white one is her sister)

Smaller then mine? Dwarfs can be alittle different in size, but are smaller then average.

How about her weight?

She might just have a growth/hormonal issue. Or she could be a runt. It happens sometimes. I'd say that if her health is fine and she doesn't seem to be displaying any other issues, she'll live and be perfectly happy. I have a hen who has a lot of developmental defects (a shipped egg and fluctuating temps). She took much much longer to mature than the other hens, and is still hormonally imbalanced. Her comb, body size, and face are still like a pullet's, even though she lays eggs. She's still happy and just as active as the other birds. I will say that she has some other physical issues like a misplaced crop, so keep and eye out for any physical problems that your silkie might develop. Hopefully all she is is tiny though!

As long as she's eating, drinking, & healthy she'll be fine. Mine's alittle under 2 pounds.
