My Silkie laid her first egg, when will she lay another?

My silkie is 6 months, she laid her first egg last night (It's so small and cute!!)
Since she's laid her egg she has been very noisy so I'm just wondering if she's
just mad that she had to poop out an egg or if she's going to lay another?

She's my first chicken and she is a house chook so her flocks is my cat and
I xD how long apart do silkies lay eggs?

She'll probably lay one more then brood until next spring

On average, it takes a hen about 24 hours to produce one egg. Some hens can produce an egg in a little less time, some take more time.

That's good at least, didn't want her to lay often. I don't know if egg laying hurts them, I just don't want her to be in pain

You can't stop her from laying, whether it hurts or not. A healthy female chicken produces eggs on a regular, almost daily, basis. Just a reality of chickens.

I know that, can only hope she doesn't lay to many eggs. though i heard it doesn't hurt them as much as they produce more eggs?
