My Silkie won't lay eggs!!

Ok. We got a cute little white Silkie cockerel (who is now a very proud roo) last summer, and shortly after found a White Silkie hen to go with him. I have had her since about August-ish, she was 1 1/2 when I got her (the guy told me she had turned a year old that April) AND SHE HAS YET TO LAY A SINGLE EGG!!!

Is she too old to lay? Or what?

Well, here's a list of things that I could think of why she's not laying:

1. Is she broody?

2. Since the days are short, she's not getting enough light to lay again?

3. Stress? I know that when new chickens are transitioning or are moved that they sometimes stop laying, but since you had her since august then it's most likely not this.

Maybe wait 'til spring and see if she starts laying again.

No, not broody. She's not even friendly or even that pretty either....

The days are shorter, yes, but to not lay a single egg since August??
I think she'll deffinetly be finding a new home this spring. I have an order of Silkie chicks coming Friday.
