my silkies first brood

my jojo is nesting for the first time, but this morning i noticed the one egg has a hle in the shell and it looks like its leaking. Should i leave it with her or not. these are my first chickens and my jojo is such a good mommy.
Any help would be appreciated, she only has two eggs she is sitting on.

What day is she on? Have you candled the eggs to see that they are developing?

Definitely remove that egg! It can cause bacteria to form and kill the other egg! Hopefully your other hens will lay more eggs for her to sit on? Is she your profile pic? Adorable!

yes i have candled them and saw the chicks inside

No! Sorry to be dramatic but no! If it has some stuff on it, gently remove it, with a dry toothbrush or soft cloth. Theres a protective layer on eggs that keeps bacteria and stuff out and is necessary for the egg

Oh man, day 14 already? That means your other little guy is going to be alone, i might suggest start looking for a friend that will be born the same time that you can get for him to have a friend...

although with a mother i dont think it will be as lonely as when you hatch out just one in an incubator... so maybe he'll be fine alone...
