Congratulations! Wow! Good for her! I don't think 19 is too young...well, I personally don't want to get married for a while, until I'm at least 20, plus any male would have to be out of his mind to want to marry me.......but as eenie says, it depends on the person. A HS'er near us got married at 18--it worked out fine for her.

But I must say, the smooching sounds

to me. This is from the girl who hate watching romantic movies!

I'm 20 and can't even imagine being married right now. I have been with my guy for 4yrs, but we have been best friends since we were 10. We have talked about it, but I told him I was not going to do that until we both graduate college, gets jobs, and can actually support ourselves. So I'm (hopefully)planning to be 26 or 27 before I get married.

My stepsister married a guy at 18. He was in the army, top of the class. Was going to be an engineer. He is the very jealous type and proposed to her about a month before basic training. They got married the day before he left, and she moved with him. She did not go to school, and just stayed at home. He eventually quit basic training, came back up, and they have now lived with his parents for 4 yrs. She still has no drivers license, and works at a gas station.

Just goes to show that not all young people are suited to be married. It sounds like your sister is different and I hop they have a good life together.

I dont think she is entirely ready. She still has bursts of immaturity, and can be quite selfish. But, when Andrew is sent overseas, I hope she will grow up a bit, learn to be mature.

Quit basic training? Either he was dishonorable discharged or honorable discharged for some good reason. Not easy to "jump ship" from the Army.

So it'll be a long engagement?

Probably. I cant see them getting married before she goes back to college in two weeks

I have no clue, that is what my stepsister told her mom. One day he was there and the next he was living with his parents.

My stepsister does not talk to her mom or her sister anymore, even though they live less than a mile away from each other.
