You should try for a 4 layered egg. I have gotten quite a few of those from my silkies. And even ones as small as a dime.

Feed your girls allot of oysters!!! LOL

Whoah! Every day now for going on a week one of my hens has ben laying a fart egg. The eggs just get smaller.

This is funny I got a double yolk a few days ago and just yesterday I got my first quarter sized egg mine looks eggzactly like the pics in the post kinda made me laugh.

haha I love the size difference there! We have never gotten any eggs quite that big, though we do normally get jumbo size from our RIR's...Though the other day, they laid one just like your small one. I took a picture of it, but i dont know what i did with my camera!

Well , I had a few fart eggs from my bantams and DH said we are in it for egg production , NOT FART EGGS , With feed as high as it is going , wants to make it worth our time .

so he sold all my bantams and replaced them with Large to extra large producers .....

been picking close to 3 dozen a day of x-lg. to jumbo eggs

My hens have been on this thing where I get one or two small eggs a day. I dont know why but the eggs are all sticky now. Could cabbage have done that? We just gave them cabbage the other day.

From what I have read everywhere, I guess it is an egg that is REALLY hard to crack. I havent gotten any of them yet.
