I don't know if this will help but my sister has CP and she takes grand mal seizures. When ever she gains a few lbs they have to do blood levels and adjust her meds. If your son has had a growth spurt this could be why the meds were working but not so much now.

I can only imagine how frightening it is...my daughter has severe asthma and will just stop breathing when she has attacks...it is petrifying so

I am so sorry to hear of your son. Is there some device that you can hook on his bed so it alerts you when he has a seizure so you can all get a good nights sleep?
