well they did make the closet stinky...and they were very spooky...we SAW them on several ocassions...creeeeepyy!! I think they were soldiers, they dressed like soldiers. The two that looked in my bedroom window, and the one that hovered over my brothers bed were definately soldiers...the rest...I dunno. I think the one that stomped up and down the stairs must have been too though...very heavy footed. Oh, but then there was a little boy too though, he used to play in my bedroom bouncing a ball on the floor...drove me nutters!

I have freaky dreams like that every night, lol!

Ive had some odd ones lately.

I really hate ones that keep me up at night. I remember once I dreamed at my grandmothers when I was younger. It scared me so bad I was too scared to run to her bed lol
I was in her house and walked out of the bedroom I was sleeping in then into the living room where I saw a sitting chair move very quickly across the floor. I heard my grandmother in the kitchen and I ran in there and told her what had happend. She and I walked out into the living room and another piece moved quickly across. I remember screaming then waking up.

Ive actually had that dreams a couple more times over the years..

none here, but i'd like to hear if anyone has a good story

Last time I rode my horse before we got rid of her we rode out to the back yard by the barn, my sister was on the back, when we turned to round the corner of the house toward the barn, something caught her eye over by the old smokehouse and she tensed up and turned her head to where i could see into her eye...it was BLOOD RED, and then she bolted toward the street with us on her back. We all hit the clothesline full speed, horse first...like to have never got that nag settled down. I never rode her again. Nobody did. The guy who bought her could never get her to saddle up after that. He thought he could 'break' her, but she was well broke before.

Our cows, we had 3 Holstein calves, bottle babies, and they seemed fine until they were about 6 months old, then they started acting weird, like they were nervous all the time. Got up one morning to go out to give them hay, and one was hanging by it's butt up at the top of the barn door where it had tried to jump through the door, and somehow managed to wedge itself at the top of the door rear hanging inside the barn while the rest of it's body was outside, both back legs were broken. We had to shoot it and had it processed. The other two within 2 weeks apart did the EXACT same thing...never did find any tracks of another animal that may have scared them, or anything. Funny thing is, they could have easily ran out the back of the barn facing the house just a wooden gate, and by then they could have smashed it to pieces, instead of the front facing the pasture, but it was like they were running away from something that was close to the house and yard. We never got any more animals after that. The bull went crazy too in the same pasture and barn, but we ate him before anything could happen.

The dog we had was fine the whole time we lived there though.

You know, that sounds like they may have eaten something toxic or hallucinogenic, some sort of plant or insect. That would explain why it didn't affect the dog, he wouldn't be eating the same things as cows and horses. The timing makes it seem that way too, they would all have been exposed around the same time, if that was when the plant grew, or insect was around. There are a lot of plants and fungi that could cause an animal to act like that.

I thought the same thing too, but I wasn't sure what they could have ingested as I am definitely NO horticulturist! But I've witnessed my dogs go mad, and our theory is that there might be a heavier concentration of arsenic in our water (well water). But we aren't sure and haven't gotten the water tested yet. I'd like to have it done soon though.

Sarah, I've been plagued by some of the freakiest dreams ever all my life. My earliest dream that I can recall with vivid recollection (because it was so scary) was when I was 4. I dreamed that I had woken up, looked up, and my ceiling was completely covered in hairy spiders, and they were descending their webs, right at my face. I was so certain it was real, and I screamed bloody murder. My mother came running and had to console me and assure me that there were absolutely no spiders anywhere in my room, lol. I don't often have reoccurring dreams, but one that I remember, and it truly did disturb me, started shortly after the birth of my second daughter. The dream would always start off with me making my way through a dilapidated old Victorian house, where the wallpaper was peeling, floors were rotted and warped, pain was faded, etc. I'd feel this pull, like I couldn't veer off to explore the house, I HAD to head toward this doorway where there was a bright reddish orange light, and I'd make my way toward this open doorway, which lead down, presumably to the basement, yet I knew it wasn't the basement. As I would approach the doorway my anxiety and terror would grow tenfold, until I was fighting to get away from it, but I never could. I'd scream but make no sound, and inevitably I would get sucked into the doorway and start down the stairs. The only way I can describe the rest of that dream is to say that it felt like I was walking through hell. Flames were everywhere. Faces and torsos in the walls writhing in pain, moaning, terror all around. Think of the Hellraiser movies, and then multiply it by a hundred, and that was what it was like. And it felt like I was down there for hours. I would wake up in tears, in a cold sweat, feeling as though I hadn't slept all night. And this dream happened over and over and over again. I had one slight deviation where I entered the house, started being drawn toward the doorway, and I entered this bedroom, which, in the logical side of my brain, was located in the wrong place, because it was to the left as you entered the front door, right where a living room or parlor should be, but it was a bedroom, and there was a huge bed in there, and the doorway was in that room, and I entered the room, and I looked at the bed, and my grandmother was sitting up in the bed with the blankets folded neatly across her legs with her legs straight out in front of her, hidden under the blankets. She smiled at me and held her arms out, and somehow I knew that she wanted to hold my baby. I had just given birth to my second baby like three months earlier. Suddenly my mom and my aunt were in the room, and one of them, I can't remember which, approached the bed with my baby in her arms, and handed the baby to my grandmother. My grandmother held the baby close and talked to her softly, but I couldn't hear her speaking. Suddenly I was at the end of the bed, near a closet, standing between my aunt and mother. My grandmother looked up at me with a deep frown and shook her head at me. I knew she was disappointed in me for having my girls back to back, and I felt so guilty! And then suddenly I was being drawn to the doorway again, and down I went. Another fitful sleep. Eventually, after a month or two the dreams stopped. I've had other terrifying ones, and some that just didn't make sense. I dream a lot, though I don't always retain full memory of the dreams when I wake up, and sometimes, I'm glad for that! Oh, did I mention? When I saw my grandmother in that dream? She'd been dead for a year and a half at that time.
