I am still youngenough to remember sneaking out at night becuase my parents wouldnt let me hang out with friends. I have to warn you all My parents thought they would lock in me at night. A burgalur couldnt evening get in there. After a half an hour alone I had it all worked out so I dactivated the alarm and I dont think my parents ever noticed that they quit working.

You have your hands full and what my father in laws says may apply. "Majority of teenagers live to Adulthood......Parents may not." Sorry its all i got I am going to be keeping notes on this though my duaghter is 9 so i better do my home work.

that's just another prime example that some teenagers will go the distance to do what they want to do regardless of the rules.
I had a short period where I broke all the rules (right after my parents separated and divorced), but I outgrew it in a relatively short time and got back on the right path.
However, there are many, many more dangers out there now than there were 22 years ago.
DD has come out of her shell again and acting normal, and
DH finally talked to her last night (in private) so I have no idea what he said, and feel it best not to ask.
As long as he did, that's all that matters.
I really want to trust her again but don't see how I can right now.

I think there are still relatviely the same amount of dangers out there, but the types and awarenes of them have changed. 22 Years ago people weren't as aware about the dangers of playing with fireworks, or even as aware of STDs. They still existed, people just didn't really know about them. These are just a few stupid little examples though. I'm sure there are more.

I'm sure views on this change, and I'm not trying to say dangers don't exist because they clearly do. I just think over the years things have changed, not gotten worse.​
