With the hot summer time weather solar cooking is a good way to cook the used egg shell, does not stink up the house, does not heat up the house. A cardboard box, piece of concrete, bricks, etc, some foil to increase the heat. There are lots of web site on making a solar oven, cheap and easy to do.

I zap them in the microwave about 10 seconds. No smell.
