My story of Hope

Hope is doing great. She is smaller than all of her siblings. Not sure if she would have been anyway or if it's because of her slow start. Here is a picture of her then one of her next to her sibling. They move so fast so it's hard to get a picture that's not blurry. I will update later on as she grows and finally when I know if she is a she or he.

She's not that far behind. I had sick chicks and injured chicks who fell behind and we fed them extra high protein treats like tinned fish (in small amounts) and meat and egg. They caught up eventually. And they are soooo spoiled now!

Wow, she's a beautiful colour, I just love it.

So unfortunately I am pretty sure Hope is a cockerel. He's starting to rule the bunch, jumping and clawing and fighting with the other two. Here's a pic. I need to start thinking of a new fitting boy name. =)

For you folks that asked, here is an updated picture of "Hope". I'll take suggestions on a new name lol. It has to be something that reflects his struggle and eventual recovery from near death.

I think you should keep the name Hope. She is such a beautiful bird. She is growing so fast!
