My Sultan is a few days shy of 6 months old, the infamous question... Hen or Roo?

Um, I can't see his saddle feathers, but with streamers like that, he is REALLY a cockerel... Sultan hens have perfectly round poofs, while males have the wild and crazy hair, like yours.

The strange thing is, he has no saddle or hackle feathers... just the normal feathering. the comb has not changed shape since "infancy"... haha

He's 100% cockerel. He's got the swept back "hair" and the red to comb to boot!

Well hunky darn shoot... Was really hoping for a female!!!! He was purchased from McMurray hatchery, actually, LOL!

leaning towards cockerel as it looks like all of my parents cockerels but i would hold on to it though till it crowed or laied an egg. if you have other cockerels then put it in a pen by its self for a few days and see if it starts to crow

I'd say cockeral.. but not 100% sure.

I have several other cockerels, but no way to isolate. If it's a cockerel, it'll grow until eating size and head to freezer camp :\
