Create a Tudy coloring book page: HERE

First off, a huge thank-you to all our VPMs and PFMs for helping test this out!!!

Background: I had a fun idea that I've been working on the last few weeks, and wanted to share with you and get your feedback as you play with it. 😊

In the past, we've done some fun contests with our mascot Tudy... one of my favorites was a coloring book contest. I was always sad that I couldn't really participate in it... even though I really wish I was more artistic, I just don't have those skills.
My hope is this app will help those of us (like me) that wish they were more artistically creative but just need a little help.

So, I created "Tudybook" to help create coloring book images based on our wonderful BYC mascot Tudy.

It's pretty self-explanatory, but here's some basics to get you started:
  1. Make sure you're logged into BYC and click here. https://www.backyardchickens.com/graphics/tudybook
  2. You can create your own prompt for what Tudy is doing, or you can auto-generate an idea that is "Grounded or "Extra Creative".
  3. Next, select the number of images you want to create. I suggest starting with one or two to get a feel for how the system works.
  4. Next, you select whether you want her to be wearing her famous apron or not.
  5. And finally, you click the "Make Coloring Page" button (and patiently wait a bit)
Please give it a try and let me know what you think, and post a detailed reply if you have any questions, suggestions, or problems!

Notes:
1) Like most of today's AI, these can hallucinate a bit, so please keep that in mind
2) We are only giving logged-in members access to this fun app, and will be tracking usage, prompts, etc.

Below are a few of my favorite examples so far:

"As her baby chicks anxiously await their new home, Tudy happily whistles while she hammers a board into the side of their new chicken coop"

"Tudy wearing wild western clothing, shooting pistols towards the sky, riding a rearing golden retriever."

"Tudy knitting a cozy scarf for a sleepy badger."

OH, and some quick tips:

To post your images into the forum, you need to click on your coloring book page, then copy the image URL:

... then in your post, click the Insert Image icon, then select the "by URL" and past the copied url:

BTW, we're hoping to have some fun contests for themed coloring book pages.

I'd also like to have some contests where peeps actually/physically color them in, and then take a real-world photo of the colored page... maybe them holding it up, propped next to their chickens, or pinned on their coop! LOL!

This was fun to play with!
I created a bunch of cute & silly images, including,

Tudy greeting the neighbors.

Tudy sailing across the lake.
IMG_6585.png

Tudy sailing across the vast sea.
IMG_6592.png

Tudy running from an alien invasion!
IMG_6582.jpeg

Tudy lounging in her floaty with some confused onlookers.
IMG_6587.png

IMG_6591.png

Tudy looking up to a big ostrich.
IMG_6595.png

Tudy looking down to a tiny quail.
IMG_6597.png

And this last one, my prompt was just a “.” so the AI could generate whatever it wanted. And it created Tudy dancing!
