My sweet Barred Rock, Amy Farrah Fowler 🥰

Yes, they are lovely. It's my first ever time having them. Really enjoying my experience with this breed.
This is my very first experience with raising chickens. My brother got them for me for Christmas last year because he LOVES his chickens and thought I would enjoy having some as well. I have 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Pearl White Leghorns, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 White Crested Black Polish, 1 Buff Brahma and 1 Easter Egger that I thought was an Ameraucana, but it turns out she is a mixed breed.

Don't say that! She'll be the first to get taken by a predator or get sick if she's you're favorite.

oh! I know! It always seems to go that way for me too!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Whether it is a chicken, a cat, a dog, it never fails!

I have 6 grandkids so I bought 10 chickens. That way, each grandkid got to pick one to name and call his/her own. I purposely bought 2 of each breed in case one died, then each grandkid would still think they had a chicken 😂. The only oddball chickens are the Easter Egger and the Brahma.
The kids named them:
“Cow”(the Easter Egger),
“Rose” and “Reddie”(Rhode Island Reds),
“Chick Chick Elvis Presley” (the Buff Brahma), she got named two names. My mom-in-law had already named her Elvis but then my grandson wanted to name her “Chick Chick”.
“Radical Chick” and “Amy Farrah Fowler” (Barred Rocks),
“Lenny” and “Squiggy”( White Crested Black Polish)
“Queen Roselina” and “Buttercup” (White Leghorns)

They are wonderful chickens and names. 😆
