my sweet Scooter has started to turn into a bully.

    went out to feed them and give them fresh water this morning and he comes out of the hen house and follows me around like he usually does...then as i turn my back to go out the door i hear something and turn around and hes all fluffed up and the death look in his eye comming after me...im like Scoot wth..... is this normal? hes almost 4 months now.

    ETA i cant spell this early!!!

    Some folks are gonna say he's "bad" or "mean," that you should teach him a lesson or hold him all day, re-home him or even put him in the stewpot. They'll claim a predators right to hunt free and kill their birds, but wanna do away with such a cockerel as yours.

    He's a male and he's doing his thing, as they have since time began. God bless him. Rooster Red has a great page on this and if we're lucky he'll pop in and lend us his opinion. Harvey Ussery has some great things to add, too, here:

    thanks....the stew pot is not an option...Scooter will never end up there.he's my baby and love him dearly!!!

    LOL!!!!! I think Rooster -Red has some tips somewhere on this forum for dealing with an aggressive rooster..might pm him and ask where those are..they might be helpful!! If not, just knit him some socks to cover those spurs!!! [​IMG] [​IMG]
