My tailess Call duck Story, (graphic pics included)

It will be interesting to see if he still has an oil gland, or if that got removed with the tail? Won't be much of a swimmer for long if he doesn't have that oil gland! Good luck to you!

Not sure but I have taken him swimming a couple of times, we do not swim very well, he seems to have a problem with the one leg, can't get his grip keeps slipping and sliding, so when we go swimming I place a shelf liner underneath him. then we can do our bobbing thing and running around the sink like a mad man... But he does not swim like the other ducks, bobbing and running in the water is about as close to swimming as we get...

If he is indeed a he, he just may be your Casanova. Surely he'll find something he is good at. LOL

He's so funny, I have him with some baby chicks, FIRSt thing he does is grab there feet and pull on them, I think he's bored, I haven't taken him outside yet, I'm afraid he won't be able to walk long distance and it's quite a ways from the house to the coop. Now the others that were born with him, have grown up and are outside on a permanent basis.

But when I do take him swimming, He will call for the Chicks, yeh like they are really going to join him. LOL....

Once swimming lesson is over, he tries soooo hard to dry off, he does a pretty good except he loses his balance a lot. So I'm thinking his tail is suppose to be for direction and helping him keep balance.. But for the most part he does act like a normal Duck. LOL.. I'll send updated pictures soon, let me know if you guys think he's growing any. To me he looks like he's not, but I see him every day.

Well he has made a complete LIAR out of me, I decided to take him outside to see how he does, First once we hit the ground, he went like a rocket, ran in large circles all around me. Ran out to the coop hooked up with his brothers and sisters, who welcomed him in right away. played in the mud, ate some grass and acted just like a normal DUCK. GRRR, here I was being all protective and he was like: Thanking god for FINALLY, She let go of the ropes and broke the Protective barrier!!! GRRRR...

FREEDOM, of course, once play time was over, he followed me back into the house, so that makes me a partial liar...

AHHHH he's so big!! And he still has that lil' round butt XD So, does he think he's a chicken?

Also, what name did you settle on?
