It will be interesting to see if he still has an oil gland, or if that got removed with the tail? Won't be much of a swimmer for long if he doesn't have that oil gland! Good luck to you!

Not sure but I have taken him swimming a couple of times, we do not swim very well, he seems to have a problem with the one leg, can't get his grip keeps slipping and sliding, so when we go swimming I place a shelf liner underneath him. then we can do our bobbing thing and running around the sink like a mad man... But he does not swim like the other ducks, bobbing and running in the water is about as close to swimming as we get...It will be interesting to see if he still has an oil gland, or if that got removed with the tail?
