My Texas A&M laid a white egg, is that bad?

How do you know an egg has "gone bad" before incubating? I have 13 on lockdown and pipping now, but another 16 never developed at all.
I have 50 and counting for the next hatch, hoping for a better outcome.

I have also gotten plain green and plain blue eggs. Sadly I think I lost my best colored layer girls to a raccoon and the breeder bred the blue and green eggs out. It's a tragedy.

I'm hoping to be able to breed for the colored eggs. I still get green once in a while.

Yes!, They are separated into groups. I watched them to see who seemed to get a long with who and then designed their coop so that they can see each other but are divided and can't cross into each other's areas. One rooster only has one hen while the other 2 have 3 each. :0)

That's a lot of roosters, keep an eye on them to be sure the hens aren't being overmated.

Chicken or Quail? its hard to see the developing quail eggs because of their color and size, you just can't see through the egg. I use a hatch app on my phone to help me through incubating questions.

Smell also plays a factor too... I have two roos for three hens but they are in seperate pens

What do you mean "gone bad before incubating"? I'm assuming you want to know of there's a way to tell that your 16 eggs wouldn't hatch before you put them in the incubator? If you have 16 that never developed they were infertile (if they are your own eggs). You need to make sure you have the appropriate rooster/hen ratio. If you have your breeders in separate cages you can mark the eggs that came from each cage. Then you can narrow it down to a certain cage that is giving you infertile eggs. Then you can replace that rooster with a different one. That's really all I know you can do...

Thanks, after posting I went silent because I didn't mean to hijack the thread, I was asking in response to this:

Just you wait, when they all start laying, they will lay, i already have another twelve eggs waiting and more coming... I could've put probably close to 50 in, but 20 or so went bad while i was waiting for some goose eggs to clear out, but its ok

But I assume they just got too old and that's why she said they were bad.
I think my ratio is ok. I have two trios now, then two males in a larger space with 11 hens. I just moved my newly hatched to the brooder, so tomorrow I will find out how many quail eggs an Incuview can hold.

Yes, they went rotten while waiting to be put in the bator, it was over a month i think before the bator was empty
