My Turkey Egg is Rocking!

Some advice/help would be greatly appreciated! My turkey egg has been in a still incubator for 21 days. I know turkey eggs take 28 days to hatch however, mine started rocking today when I went to rotate it. My intention was to put the egg on lock down Monday (Day 25) but I'm unsure if I should start the lockdown earlier. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You can candle the egg to determine what stage it is at. It is possible that it had started incubating before you put it in the incubator. Candling can let you know which stage it is currently at.

When it is time to go to lockdown, the air cell should be drawn down. The last thing that will happen before an external pip is the internal pip.

@Kiki is very good at explaining these stages although she deals with quail or chickens.

This is the air cell of our egg. It looks larger than previous candling but not sure if we should go on lockdown just yet. Any thoughts?

For some reason, mine starting moving at 16 days, worries me lol, I did have one a while back start rocking at 21 days but hatched at 28 days. Best wishes wish I could help more but not use to turkey eggs, I'm hatching them for a friend.
