My turkey hen lost her chick and I feel terrible

Logically I know that there’s very little that could’ve been and even less that I can do now. My main suspicion is that something got the poor little guy. If he had been sick or injured, the hen would’ve stayed with him. If he were stuck, he would be chirping and the hen would be with him. Instead, the hen circles around the house chirping frantically with no peeps in response. I scoured everywhere I knew they liked to go for over an hour and have found/heard nothing. I will continue my search for at least a little while longer but deep down I know it’s most likely a lost cause, as much as it hurts. My main focus is now settling on the hen who is desperately calling for her chick and is following me around as if expecting me to return the little guy to her. What can I do for her? Is this just something that I have to leave be or can I help her in any way? It’s so depressing watching her.

I know it’s been a month, but I just realized that I forgot to reply, haha
Thank you! She did end up going back to her usual self the next day. Such a relief, I don’t think I could’ve stood to see her act so sad for even a week.
