we have been hit by the heat wave and all of my birds are starting to molt. i only have one turkey. he's molting too but his chest has gone completely bald. i don't think thats normal but i don't have anyone else to compare him to. is there a special type of food that i should get my birds while they molt? or should i just leave him be?

Is he rubbing his chest on a fence? Also, does he sleep on the ground or does he roost? A lot of times if a turkey sleeps on the ground they do end up with a bald chest.

I have the same problem. we are getting ready to show our toms at the state fair in a month and all three have bald chests. They rest on the ground during the day, and roost at night. I put them in a stall with lots of fluffy straw. Any other ideas or supplements to get those feathers back? Any advice would be wonderful.
