My turkey's legs hurt

[[/B]Hi I bought a tom turkey yesterday at a flea market. And he's hurt his leg some how. It's not broke but swolled up. He doesn't walk unless your get near him. He's in a pen by himself with corn and water. And I've only had him a day. How can he be able to walk again?

How big is he and what breed is he? If it's a broad breasted it may never get up. A heritage may or may not. I have not had good luck with toms and leg injuries. The best you can do is let it rest in a dry warm place. I would get it an turkey or all flock ration as corn isn't a sustainable diet for a turkey.

He was white with black spots but he sadly passed after I posted this morning. I was about to give him medicine for his leg swelling but he died right before.
